Watch pro-gamers play RTS for fun with controller. That will, again, never happen with the incredibly slow and imprecise controller. You need to click PIXEL PERFECT at an INSTANT when you play competitively. There is, QUITE LITERALLY, no type of game that is so APM intensive as RTS. Also, there has been plenty of tests of FPS games with controller VS mouse with no aim-assist, and even mediocre mouse users absolutely DESTROYS controller users. There is NO OTHER TYPE OF GAME that has an APM at that level. RTS demands an APM of around 120 to play at a competitive level. Another stupid example, since the game LITERALLY GIVES CHEATS TO CONTROLLER USERS to balance it out, exactly because CONTROLLERS ARE WAY TOO SLOW AND IMPRECISE TO PLAY WITH compared to a mouse. I can heal in that while watching TV due to the extremely low APM needed to play it.Ĭontroller users gets aim assist on BF2042. so I'm sure an rts is not that hard when you actually think about how much simpler it is.įF14 is an utterly moronic example. Your controller does not have enough buttons for all the hotkeys you need and you do not have the speed and precision on the analogue stick to precisely instantly give an order. There is no way, ever, that you can beat the reaction and precision of hotkeys and mouse. There is a reason there isn't cross-platform gaming with RTS.
